AI4DIAG Project: “Distributed Artificial Intelligence for the early diagnosis and treatment of diseases with a high prevalence in aging” (2021 Artificial Intelligence R&D Missions Program).
The general objective of this project is the research and development of an intelligent decentralized data collection and analysis system that allows the healthcare system to anticipate and act early and ultra-fast in highly prevalent psychiatric, neurological, motor and degenerative diseases. in the context of aging.
Podoactiva, will focus its efforts on sarcopenia, one of the most prevalent motor degenerative diseases in the elderly population that frequently causes frailty and subsequent entry into dependence. Within the project, information will be provided on the way people walk through smart wearables, capable of collecting information on gait patterns, being able to identify anomalies through artificial intelligence algorithms.
The AI4HealthyAging project is included within the R&D Missions in Artificial Intelligence 2021 program of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, and is part of the Digital Spain 2025 Agenda and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy. It is financed by the European Union through Next Generation EU funds.

PREDICTIVA project: artificial intelligence and robotisation of processes in the automated manufacturing of personalized templates. (Support Program for Innovative Business Groups).
The main objective of this project is to advance in the digital transformation of all Podoactiva’s manufacturing and sale processes to end customers, reaching three main milestones: the development of a demand forecasting module and predictive maintenance of workforces, a solution global optimization of the company’s industrial processes and the introduction of an intelligent robotic system for the introduction and extraction of templates in the manufacturing line.
Funding entity: Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

The general objective of the project is to automate the obtaining of the ideal parameters of the templates used in the treatment of foot pathologies, developing for this purpose algorithms based on neural networks and natural language processing. All this will allow, based on the data from the consultation form filled out by voice recognition and the different studies carried out on the patient, to classify their pathology and obtain the optimal parameters of the template to treat it successfully.
Funding entity: Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

The objective of INN-PRESSME is to develop and implement a sustainable OITB (Open Innovation Test Bed) to promote the increase in the levels of technological maturity of nanobiomaterials and nanoprocesses from TRL 4-5 to 7 in European companies.
The project will focus on (nano) cellulose, bioplastics and natural fibers, with which, through nanotechnology approaches, bespoke biomaterials with properties and functionalities (barrier, antibacterial properties, better corrosion resistance, better chemical resistance, etc.) equal or superior to those of their fossil counterparts at competitive prices.
Podoactiva, within the project, will validate new materials and processes for the manufacture of innovative designs for its personalized insoles integrated into shoe soles through the use of ecological materials with nanofunctionalized properties that contribute to a circular and sustainable economy.
Funding entity: European Commission.

STANDUP Project: Thermal Analysis for Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers (Horizon 2020).
Podoactiva within the project, contributes all its know-how and experience in the treatment of diabetic foot, in addition to developing an exclusive and innovative insole specific for this type of pathology.
Funding entity: European Commission.

The general objective of the project is to go a step further in terms of the technology that integrates the intelligent template. In this way, the project aims to develop an ecosystem of products around Podoactiva’s intelligent workforce, capable of creating high value in the health, sports and wellness markets. Thanks to the development of this project, the intelligent workforce will evolve its technology towards 5G. From this goal derives the main technical objective: to develop a technological core, based on the world of the Internet of Things (IoT).
The development of the project will also allow the evolution of its connection through applications on smartphones, Smart Watches or Communications Gateways, as well as the establishment of a cloud infrastructure capable of storing, managing and exploiting the information collected.

Project “Artificial intelligence applied to the biomechanics of the foot through intelligent insoles” (CDTI, 2019-2020).
This project aims to take another leap from the previous CDTI project, developing artificial intelligence algorithms for the Podoactiva intelligent workforce that allow extracting and processing information of a higher level of utility for patients and sports professionals. This project makes it possible to increase the added value of the intelligent workforce by measuring the data in real time on the day-to-day of the patients by applying artificial intelligence and processing up to 500 data per second.
