Podoactiva participates in the MK Dons Academy meeting

Jake Heath, Podoactiva podiatrist in UK, spend a brilliant afternoon with MK Dons Academy exploring the transferable skills footballers have gained during their time playing sports and how they can be used in many different environments and settings. The team was very engaged and discussed healthcare professional roles and how they can continue to play football and explore educational routes into physiotherapy and podiatry.

Podoactiva is supporting young athletes to promote podiatry within sport and also inspiring the next generation of podiatrists. The profession’s profile can grow while capturing skilled talent who understand the demands that sport can have on the foot and lower limb. This project with LAPS (Life After Professional Sport), HEE and the Royal College of Podiatry aims to show how podiatrists are best placed to advance foot and ankle treatment for many different patient types.
